This is by far the best sushi restaurant I have been to. My husband and I have been eating there for the past ten years. The quality and freshness of the fish are outstanding, every single time! The flavour combinations are simply beyond compare. The presentation is a work of art and the taste is just incredible. There’s always a lineup and the price is worth every penny. NOT TO BE MISSED! KAZUMI is the very best!!

This is our third time back. Food is so fresh, always new dishes to try out. Omakase, is great. Best jewel of the east. Worth every penny, plus BYOW! Can't ask for more.

Kazumi really offers a high quality experience for food, service and vibes on a budget. The outside look does not represent the interior's atmosphere : clean floors/tables/decor, chic warm shallow lighting, confortable seating, quiver yet reserved music, very friendly staff. The food itself was very good - a lot of well-made asian-fusion, while keeping japan imports quality. They offer a lot of 'off-the-menu' items and really shine with very creative and very polarizing food mixture - which to our amusement were surprising at first, blending well and exploding of fabulous flavours. After going to okeya kyujiro, parks and other high ends around montreal and in Japan, I was not expecting this from such an affordable price point. Furthermore, this is bring your own wine and convinitently has an SAQ within a 30 second walk - this said, there is no wine pairing, but they do have all glasses required for wine and sake. Well done Kazumi !

We had the pleasure of dining there again yesterday, and as always, our expectations were exceeded. From the moment we were warmly greeted, the service was flawless. Within minutes, we were comfortably seated, served water and green tea, and even provided with a bucket of ice to ensure our wine stayed perfectly chilled—a thoughtful touch that exemplifies their attention to detail. As longtime fans, we once again chose the chef’s tasting menu, which has never failed to amaze us. This time, however, the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The creations presented were so innovative, so meticulously crafted, that we firmly believe the chef is deserving of a Michelin star. Every dish was a testament to his commitment to excellence. The ingredients were of impeccable quality—fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. Each plate arrived at the ideal temperature and was accompanied by a detailed explanation of its composition, along with recommendations on how to savor it fully. Watching the chefs work their magic just meters from our table added a captivating layer to the evening, turning the meal into a performance as much as a feast. One standout moment was witnessing the chef carefully shave fresh black truffle over a beautifully baked oyster, a masterpiece both in presentation and taste. It was a sensory experience that delighted not just our palates but also our eyes and minds. The ambiance at Kazumi is warm and inviting, striking the perfect balance between cozy intimacy and open transparency, allowing guests to feel connected to the artistry happening in the kitchen. Each dish is crafted with such precision and passion that it’s impossible not to be awestruck. This recent visit reaffirmed what we’ve always known: Kazumi is a culinary treasure. The chef’s tasting menu showcased his unparalleled talent and artistic vision, leaving us with memories that will linger long after the last bite. We’re already counting down the days until our next visit, and we can only hope Michelin takes notice of this exquisite haven.

As a sushi lover , especially sashimis, you can't go wrong with kazumi. Myself I ve worked in many sushis restaurants and kazumi is at another level !!!!!! Kazumi is Japan in mtl, the fish are fresh , the presentation is beautiful , for all sashimis lovers , this is THE PLACE!!!!!!
